CECH RANKED BEST CHELSEA GOALKEEPER

Chelsea legend Petr Cech has been ranked the best goalkeeper to play for the West London giants in the Premier League era. Petr Cech spent a hugely successful eleven years at Stamford Bridge before signing for London rivals Arsenal in a £10m deal in the summer of 2015. The Czech Republic football legend had joined Chelsea from Rennes in the French Ligue 1 in 2004 and he went on to win the Premier League title in his first two seasons at Chelsea.

Petr Cech announced his retirement at the end of his Arsenal contract in 2019 but he's back in the Chelsea playing squad again as one of the back-up goalkeepers in the team at the age of 38.
Petr Cech was named the performance and technical director at Chelsea after his retirement almost two years ago and it was surprising to see his name in the Chelsea playing squad released earlier in the season. Cech recently turned out for the u-23s in the win over London rivals Tottenham Hotspur in Premier League 2. The game was as recent as last month.

Petr Cech enjoyed a trophy filled time at Stamford Bridge for over a decade. Apart from the two Premier League titles mentioned earlier, he also won two more league titles in addition to the 2011/12 Champions League title. Petr Cech also won four FA Cups, the 2012/13 Europa League and three League Cup titles.
The list compiled by Planet Football made Petr Cech the undisputed best amongst the Chelsea goalkeepers in the Premier League era. He was named ahead of Thibaut Courtois who's on the books of Spanish La Liga outfit Real Madrid. Thibaut Courtois is a Belgian international shot stopper and he displaced Petr Cech as the first choice goalkeeper in the Chelsea team in the latter stages of his career at the club. Italian man Carlo Cudicini, Ed de Goey and Dmitri Kharine completes the top five.
