Jack Butland, David de Gea, Kasper Schmeichel and Petr Cech are all of the goal-keepers in the Premier League that have been standing out in this season with impressive performances and these are the players that are already being taken into consideration to be included in the team of the season.
All of those previously mentioned players have made a huge impact with their respective clubs and it’s why they are being considered to be placed in the Premier League squad of the campaign but even though the season is not over, Petr Cech has already started to win awards and recognition after being named for the 8th time as the best player from Czech Republic.
Petr Cech signed with Arsenal in this season but this recent switch of clubs doesn’t seem to have affected him as the veteran player has managed to register 12 clean sheets in 28 matches and he was even able to break a record in the Premier League as he recorded his 170th career clean sheet.
Cech is 33 years old and even though his performances in this season have been superb, it does seem like his age is starting to take a toll on him as Petr Cech said that he is seriously considering retire from playing at the international stage.
"I'm turning 34 and it's time for me to consider it retirement. The other day I thought: Isn't it time after 14 years on the national team to think about bringing this chapter of your life to a close? The less I have to travel around and play for the national team, the higher the probability that I'll be able to retain my focus at Arsenal. After all, I'm not getting any younger." Petr Cech as he stated his intention to retire from playing with Czech Republic after the 2016 Euro’s.
