Petr Cech reveals conversations with Brighton goalkeepers

Former Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech has recently been seen visiting Brighton’s training ground in order to have an interactive session with the goalkeepers. Known for his decorative career that saw him make more than 800 appearances – most of which for Chelsea – and pick up numerous honours including the Champions League,Cech is currently free to take up new rules after quitting Chelsea as the technical and performance advisor a few months ago. Since his retirement from the game in 2018,Cech came back to Chelsea in an advisory role in 2019. However, it was brought to an abrupt end in the summer after the club was taken over by Todd Boehly.

Petr Cech Affirms His Next Move

Petr Cech, the former Premier League goalkeeper retired from football in 2019 but he surely hasn’t stopped putting a break between posts. He shifted to ice hockey after he hung up his boots and in 2019 signed for Guildford Phoenix. The former goalkeeper keeps playing in his spare time while he served as a performance and technical advisor at Chelsea. Nevertheless, after the club takeover as Todd Boehly replaced Roman Abramovich, Cech gave up his role.

CHELSEA NOW WANT TO SIGN PLAYER WHO CECH LINED UP FOR POSSIBLE TRANSFER

Chelsea are in advanced talks with RB Leipzig to buy Josko Gvardiol. That is according to transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, who claims the plan is for the Croatian international to remain with the Bundesliga club this season and join Chelsea next summer in a deal reported to be worth around €90 million. The negotiations between the two clubs are active and at an advanced stage. The 20-year-old is one of the hottest defensive prospects in world football and has been the subject of transfer speculation throughout the summer transfer window, having also been linked with a move to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur last month.

CHELSEA AGREE PERSONAL TERMS WITH PLAYER CECH ALWAYS WANTED TO SIGN

Chelsea have submitted an opening offer of £15m plus Marcos Alonso in exchange for Barcelona striker Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, according to The Athletic. The news comes after Fabrizio Romano claimed that Chelsea have already agreed personal terms with the Gabon international. The Italian reporter suggests that Barcelona want around £25m, so it remains to be seen whether the inclusion of Alonso on top of £15m will be enough to get a deal agreed.

Chelsea legend Petr Cech has leapt to the defence of RomeluLukaku after a bad season on his return to the club from Italian Serie A giants Inter Milan last summer. Petr Cech was asked about Lukaku at a charity event earlier this month as he revealed that he expects a better second season from the Belgian international.
On the bad season from Lukaku, Petr Cech said the Belgian international struggled for form due to Covid-19 and a long-term injury.

CECH’S ROLE IN MENDY TRANSFER SWOOP REVEALED

Former Chelsea goalkeeping coach Christophe Lollichon has revealed the role played by club legend Petr Cech in the pursuit of Edouard Mendy in the summer of 2020.Lollichon spoke to media outlet Foot Mercato about the role Petr Cech played on the way to the signing of Mendy from French top flight team Rennes two years ago.
Chelsea manager Frank Lampard needed an upgrade in the goalkeeping area at the time. Spanish international KepaArrizabalaga was the first choice goalkeeper at Stamford Bridge and the Blues eventually signed an upgrade on him in Senegalese international shot stopper Mendy.
