CECH DELIGHTED WITH MULTIPLE CHELSEA DEBUTS

Chelsea director Petr Cech was delighted that a lot of the young players were given a taste of top flight football amidst the ongoing injury crisis and Covid-19 cases at the club. Petr Cechexpressed his happiness for the youngsters in his column on the Chelsea website.

CECH TALKS UP GALLAGHER FOR CHELSEA

Chelsea technical and performance director Petr Cech has talked up Crystal Palace midfielder Conor Gallagher and his chances of representing the Blues in the nearest future. Petr Cech has been impressed with the form of the player in the colours of the Eagles in the Premier League this season.

Gallagher, 21, is on a season-long loan deal at London rivals Palace from Chelsea having joined the Eagles during this summer's transfer window. The new England international became a Premier League regular when he joined West Brom on loan from the Blues last season, but he couldn't stop the Baggies from being one of three teams who suffered relegation from the English top flight last season. Apart from West Brom, Sheffield United and Fulham also suffered demotion to the second tier of English football, the Championship.

TUCHEL CREDITS DUO FOR MENDY QUALITY

Chelsea manager Thomas Tuchel has praised both goalkeeping coach Hilario and technical/performance director Petr Cech for their roles in the level of performance shown by Edouard Mendy in the Chelsea goal.

Petr Cech has previously talked about Chelsea goalkeeper Mendy and how the club was able to seal his signing from Rennes in the French Ligue 1. Czech football icon Cech also played for Rennes before sealing a move to the Premier League to sign for Chelsea in 2004.

CECH PRAISES QUARTET FOR ‘STEPPING UP'

Chelsea director Petr Cech has singled out four players for stepping up during the West London Derby win over Brentford just after the recently concluded international break. Petr Cech made this known in a chat with the Chelsea website as he praised the contributions of Edouard Mendy, Ruben Loftus-Cheek, Malang Sarr and Trevor Chalobah.

CECH SPEAKS ON RETAINING UCL TITLE

Petr Cech has revealed what Chelsea must do to retain their UEFA Champions League (UCL) title this season. In his column for the official website of the club, Petr Cech stated that it's very difficult to retain the Champions League title and that one needs the element of everything going well in addition to being lucky for the feat of retaining the title to come to pass.

JIMENEZ REVEALS CECH'S HELP WITH INJURY

Wolverhampton Wanderers striker Raul Jimenez has revealed how Chelsea legend Petr Cech helped him with his head injury. Petr Cech has been the technical and performance director at Chelsea since he retired from football in 2019 and Jimenez talked about him in an exclusive chat with Sky Sports. According to the Wolves striker, Petr Cech was helpful after he sustained a nasty head injury during the game with Arsenal in the Premier League last season.

Ex-Rennes and Arsenal shot stopper Cech knows a lot about head injuries after he sustained a depressed fracture to the skull during a Premier League game with Reading in 2006 and had to wear a head gear for the rest of his career. Cech was injured in a Collison with Reading winger Stephen Hunt.

MENDY REVEALS HOW CHELSEA TRANSFER HAPPENED

Chelsea goalkeeper Edouard Mendy has revealed the influence that Petr Cech had in him joining the club last summer. Mendy talked about Petr Cech in exclusive chat with the UEFA website. According to him, Petr Cech played a big role in him leaving the French Ligue 1 last summer to experience Premier League football.

Cech and Mendy have a lot in common though the former has hung up his gloves. Cech is now the technical and performance director at Stamford Bridge.

However, he has now been forced to give something out after the fans continued to lash at the London club on social media over their lack of activity in the summer transfer window.

While there is a growing belief at Stamford Bridge that Chelsea could still be successful in their bid to sign Norway international striker ErlingHaaland from German Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund this summer, the club's director Petr Cech believes that the club will have a great season regardless of their transfer activities this summer.

Chelsea have been courting Haaland for quite some time now and even though reports claim that the 20-year-old striker is willing and ready to join the Blues, Dortmund have continued to remain adamant that they do not want to sell him - at least not in this summer.
