Rudi Garcia, manager of the club AS Roma, said that he is content with his team’s performance in the match against Bayern Munich despite his team losing the match 2-0. Garcia said that his team was not afraid of the opponent team.
Roma’s game plan for the match against Bayern Munich was essentially a defensive one. They chose such a strategy to avoid a horrible defeat like the one they suffered in the match against the same opponent two weeks ago at Allianz Arena. Roma lost 7-1 against Bayern Munich in that match.

Thibaut Courtois has turned into the undisputed first choice goalkeeper of Jose Mourinho as the Belgian shot-stopper consistently makes impressive performances for Chelsea and this has left Petr Cech having to settle with a place on the sidelines of the Premier League club and this situation has attracted the attention of a number of top European clubs that are interested in signing him.

Once regarded as an untouchable in the Chelsea team, Petr Cech made only the second start of the season in the League Cup match against Shrewsbury Town.
The blues were expected to comfortably progress to the next round, but they were given a slight scare in the second half when the home team squad. There was nothing that the 32-year-old goalkeeper could do about this goal as it was a fine header. On all other occasions, Cech did extremely well when called upon. He was one of the big names in the starting line-up along with players like Oscar and John obi Mikel.

The manager of Real Madrid, Carlo Ancelotti, doesn’t think that he needs to reconsider his decision of going with a 4-3-3 formation in the Liga fixtures this season.
Real Madrid is having a bit of a torrid time in the Liga of late as they have suffered back-to-back losses to slip down to no. 13 in the points’ table.
People are blaming Ancelotti’s formation for the failure of the Blancos, but, the man himself doesn’t agree to that opinion.

Petr Cech looks set to stay at Chelsea at least until January after deciding against a move during the transfer window. It was heavily rumoured that clubs like Monaco and Paris St Germain were interested in signing the 32-year-old goalkeeper, who has become the second choice at Chelsea after the arrival of Thibaut Courtois. The Czech Republic stopper has been the number-one at Chelsea since arriving as a 22-year-old back in 2004, but his decade-long presence between the sticks has been brought to an end by the brilliance of Courtois.

The manager of the Belgian national football team, Marc Wilmots, reckons that Petr Cech would be put on sale by the Chelsea management during the pre-season transfer window.
There have been reports in English media in the last few weeks that Thibaut Courtois, the Belgian shot stopper, would be the first choice for the Blues boss Jose Mourinho in the upcoming season.
Courtois had actually been signed by Chelsea in 2011, but, he had been playing in the Spanish top tier for Atletico Madrid on loan since the past 3 seasons.

Belgium national team boss Marc Wilmots is of the opinion that Petr Cech will be sold in the summer in order to make way for Thibaut Courtois, who will be returning from his three-year loan spell at Atletico Madrid. Since signing for Chelsea in 2011, Courtois has not represented the blues as he has been spending the time on loan at the Spanish outfit. Now, he is regarded as one of the best goalkeepers in the world at just 22. The has been a lot of speculation as to whether he will be loaned out once again because Chelsea already have a top goalkeeper in the form of Cech.

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has stated that Franck Ribery is extremely angry following the first leg result against Real Madrid and he expects a big performance from the Frenchman when the two sides meet each table in the second leg at the Allianz arena.
Bayern Munich lost the first leg 1-0 in what was a very disappointing match from the Germans. Real Madrid did not have most of the ball, but they were devastating on the counter-attack. This helped them secure the solitary goal through Karim Benzema that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two teams.

Ever since Petr Cech joined Chelsea in 2004, he has been a consistent performer for the Premier League club and the Czech has always standout by being the undisputed goalkeeper.
At his 31 years of age, he is still able to stand his ground and keep clean sheets against some of the best players not only in England but around the world. Cech still has a few more years left in him before he decides to retire or to change clubs but there already are potential replacements of players who could fill in the spot of the veteran goalkeeper and one of the top candidates is Thibaut Courtois.
