BAYERN LEFT ANGRY

Bayern Munich manager Pep Guardiola has stated that Franck Ribery is extremely angry following the first leg result against Real Madrid and he expects a big performance from the Frenchman when the two sides meet each table in the second leg at the Allianz arena.

Bayern Munich lost the first leg 1-0 in what was a very disappointing match from the Germans. Real Madrid did not have most of the ball, but they were devastating on the counter-attack. This helped them secure the solitary goal through Karim Benzema that ultimately proved to be the difference between the two teams.

WILL CECH STAY?

Ever since Petr Cech joined Chelsea in 2004, he has been a consistent performer for the Premier League club and the Czech has always standout by being the undisputed goalkeeper.

At his 31 years of age, he is still able to stand his ground and keep clean sheets against some of the best players not only in England but around the world. Cech still has a few more years left in him before he decides to retire or to change clubs but there already are potential replacements of players who could fill in the spot of the veteran goalkeeper and one of the top candidates is Thibaut Courtois.

3 ON THE BOUNCE

Chelsea won their 3rd consecutive Premier League match after defeating Tottenham with a resounding 4-0 final scoreboard and now the team of Jose Mourinho is currently located at the top of the league but Petr Cech has revealed that despite going through such a fine form they still aren’t favorites on winning the title.

WORLD CUP LOOK-A-LIKES

With World Cup fever beginning to pick up ahead of this summer’s tournament in Brazil, the obvious questions begin to be asked; will Spain defend their title, can England disappoint again, and which Disney character does Carlos Tevez most resemble.

As well as the obvious links between Mesut Ozil and a confused frog, the Germany midfielder could also be mistaken for this horror icon. And England’s own Leighton Baines doesn’t only resemble all four of The Beatles, the Everton star is also a dead ringer for Olympic hero Bradley Wiggins.

HAZARD INSPIRES

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard has been one of the star players at the club and also in the Premier league this campaign. He has been responsible for numerous wins including the 3-0 against Newcastle on Saturday.

Hazard scored a hat-trick in this match, as he setup Chelsea to go top of the table. After the match, goalkeeper Petr Cech reserved special praise for the player, who has been in stunning form for the last few months. He said that Hazard should be given the FIFA Ballon d’Or in the future.

CHELSEA WIN

Chelsea recently managed a stunning 3-1 win over Manchester United to move within two points of table leaders Arsenal.

Samuel Eto'o, who had previously scored all of his Chelsea goals at Stamford Bridge, started the match ahead of Fernando Torres.

Torres has been in good form in recent weeks after scoring in back-to-back matches, but he was dropped to the bench in favour of the former Barcelona man. He repaid Jose Mourinho's faith by scoring a stunning hat-trick, thus becoming only the fourth player to do so against Manchester United.

ANNOYED AND DISAPPOINTED

Chelsea’s undisputed goalkeeper Petr Cech was left annoyed and disappointed after playing against West Brom and not playing at his usual best which allowed the opposing team to score twice as the Czech shot-stopper could have done a much better job in both goals.

He spoke to the English media about the game and said:
"Then we let them go 2-1 up because of my mistake. I lost my footing on the pitch and then I failed to react to the shot properly. It was a cheap goal to concede.

NEW CONTRACTS

The manager of Chelsea, Jose Mourinho, has said that the contract of John Terry will surely be extended if he keeps his good form going.

Terry has been in fantastic form since the start of the ongoing season. Recently, he found the net for the first time in the season in the match against the local rivals Tottenham Hotspur. That goal of Terry helped Chelsea secure a point in that game.

CHELSEA LINKED TO ROONEY

Chelsea were linked with a move for Manchester United striker Wayne Rooney when the player submitted his first transfer request a few years ago. However, Rooney immediately signed a new five-year contract with United to kill all speculation.

This time around, it is extremely different because Rooney is widely expected to leave Old Trafford. Chelsea, PSG, Barcelona, and Arsenal are all interested in securing the signing of the 27-year-old, who will cost around £ 30 million. Chelsea manager José Mourinho is thought to be a keen admirer of Rooney.

JOSE LOOKS TO LEAVE

Real Madrid manager José Mourinho has been widely tipped to leave the Spanish club at the end of the season after falling out with majority of his players.

It has to rumoured that high profile players like Iker Casillas and Sergio Ramos, who have incredible support from the fans and the board, had demanded that the Portuguese manager should leave the club or the club will be facing transfer requests from them. Unlike at his previous clubs like FC Porto and Chelsea, Mourinho has not enjoyed his time at the Santiago Bernabeu.
